Questa è (a mio parere) una bellissima serie televisiva di genere poliziesco. Anzi definirla solamente come poliziesco è limitativo!
La serie si basa sui casi di cui si occuopa lUnità di Analisi Comportamentale, una squadra speciale di criminal profiler dell'FBI incaricati di elaborare un profilo psicologico e comportamentale degli assassini seriali che chiamano S.I. (Soggetto Ignoto).
I criminal profiler sono principalmente psicologi, psichiatri e criminologi. La sede centrale della BAU si trova semisepolta nel terreno all'accademia FBI in Quantico, Virginia.
