I Like Smelling My Mother's Feet

OF ASCENSION' Abdu'l-Baha

Il 28 novembre all'1:00 del mattino, i membri della Fede Bahá'í in tutto il mondo commemorano il trapasso di 'Abdu'l-Bahá, figlio maggiore di Bahá'u'lláh.

Era nato il 23 maggio 1844 in Tehran and was called `Abbas. But the name he chose for himself was 'Abdu'l-Bahá' which means 'Servant of Glory'.
Since little has accompanied his father into exile and was imprisoned for most of his life.
In 1908, following the revolution in Turkey, all political and religious prisoners including the Ottoman Empire 'Abdu'l-Bahá were released. In 1911 and 1912 he traveled in Europe and North America to spread the teachings of his father on the coming of a new day and the unity of all men. He was appointed by the Queen, Sir Victory for its humanitarian services and for having devoted her life to caring for the sick and needy.
before his death, Bahá'u'lláh, in 1892, appointed 'Abdu'l-Bahá as the Center of the Covenant and the sole interpreter of His Writings.
Abdu'l-Bahá died at his home in Haifa (pictured) on November 28, 1921 at the age of 77 years.
More than 10,000 people, representing every class, race and religion in Palestine attended his funeral.
