ADAM AND EVE Our ancestors .
The birthplace of shame and the forbidden fruit, Satan and the serpent tempting woman. Perhaps one of the most famous biblical stories of all time . Arguably the most popular.
But, what does that really mean? What are the values \u200b\u200bto appreciate and learn from this story?
A literal interpretation of this tale proves not to reach the right number . From a scientific point of view, it is well documented and proved that human beings have existed on this planet or in another form in other developments for many years before the appearance of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Eve.
From a biological point of view, the population of the planet seems a miracle if they actually started by two who did marry their children.
From a spiritual perspective, the decision of a punishing God perpetually generations of his creation for the sins of the first two, is considered a little childish, if not downright cruel. Clearly, this story is not meant literally.
One of the first Baha'is of Christian origin asked Abdu'l-Baha, the son of the founder of the Baha'i Faith, the true meaning of this allegory . He explained that the story of Adam and Eve has different meanings. Here is a regarding the symbolism of the main "protagonists" of this story (Adam, Eve, the tree of good and evil, the serpent and the tree of life):
"means the spirit of Man Adam and Eve, his soul. Since some steps of the sacred books where he mentions his wife, it is represented as the soul of man. The tree of good and evil in the human world, because the spiritual world is pure and divine goodness and light, but in the human world light and darkness, good and evil , exist as opposite conditions.
The meaning of the serpent is attachment to the human world. This attachment of the spirit to the human world led the soul and the spirit of Adam from the world of freedom in the world of slavery and was the reason why he turned from the realm of unity to the human world. When the soul and the spirit of Adam entered the human world, he left the paradise of freedom and fell into the world of slavery. From the peaks of the absolute purity and goodness, he entered the world of good and evil.
The tree of life is the highest rank in the world of existence: the position of the Word of God and the universal manifestation. Therefore, this position was maintained and the appearance of the most noble supreme Manifestation, it became apparent and clear . In termini laici, Adamo ed Eva sono una realtà che rappresentano Adamo il fisico ed Eva la sua anima. L'albero del bene e del male, è proprio questo che esiste nel mondo, un mondo pieno di dualità, in contrapposizione al mondo spirituale di Dio - che è solo bene. Il serpente rappresenta attaccamento a questo mondo materiale (forse le cose come il nostro aspetto, le nostre auto, il nostro status, le nostre cose) - la vera fonte del male. L'albero della vita rappresenta la Manifestazione di Dio (come Cristo e Baha'u'llah) . Essi sono l'albero della vita, perché essi sono la fonte di ogni bene spirituale, e la vera natura dell'uomo è spirituale . Sebbene egli sia un corpo e un anima, il corpo è il veicolo per l'anima di progredire attraverso l'acquisizione di virtù spirituali di cui avrà bisogno nei mondi spirituali di Dio ". Così, quando ci dimentichiamo la nostra vera realtà, quando siamo diventati così coinvolti negli affari della carne che trascuriamo le nostre anime, non solo soccombiamo al male, ma rimaniamo avvinghiati ad esso. Il male non è una entità separata che esiste di per sé, ci segue attraverso corridoi bui e ci appare nei sogni, in attesa di impiantarsi nel nostro organismo in modo che solo attraverso un esorcismo sia possibile ripristinare in noi l'umanità.
E' una parte di noi stessi. Una più bassa, la natura animale, che ci spinge a concentrarci solo su quello che il nostro mondo ha bisogno e ci allontana dall'albero della vita, d alle leggi della manifestazione di Dio, che sono, in realtà, la fonte di ogni bene, e l'unico vero sostentamento della realtà spirituale dell'uomo. Paradiso e inferno exist within ourselves - in the decisions we make every day. Be vigilant or careless . be pious or satanic. Be obedient or rebellious . be active or passive. Be material or celestial.
