Blade - The series (Blade: The Series) is a television series dedicated to Blade, the Marvel Comics character, former star of a successful film trilogy. The series sees Blade starring Kirk Jones said "Sticky", which takes the place of Wesley Snipes, who had played at the cinema.
This series, which starts up where the third film, Blade sees action in Detroit, his hometown
natale, contro dei vampiri assetati di sangue e potere.
A differenza dei film, questa serie ha un'ispirazione fumettistica molto più marcata e spiega molte cose ancora sconosciute a chi ha visto i film.
Vi sono alcune differenze con il film:
* Non vengono menzionate le cure per il vampirismo usate sia nel primo "Blade" sia in Blade: Trinity.
* In un episodio viene mostrato, in un flash-back, Whistler incontrare Blade quand'era un bambino. Questo contraddice quanto visto in Blade II, dove Whistler incontra Blade la prima volta quand'è un'adolescente.
* Blade dichiara nella serie che è stato lui a procurare la ferita alla gamba di Whistler. Questo contraddice quanto detto da Whistler nel primo film, which stated that they were vampires who killed her family to break the leg.
Because of the low ratings the series is composed of a single television season, consisting of 13 episodes.
